Our Story: Why We Stitch, Not Print

We tell stories with needle and thread

Not with ink. Not with vinyl that peels off in the third wash. With actual thread, pulled through fabric and locked in place, the way clothing used to be decorated before anyone worked out how to print it faster.

That's the whole idea behind Me Do Embroidery. It's a slower way to make things. We think it's a better one.

How it started

Me Do Embroidery began in 2026 with one secondhand embroidery machine set up in a spare bedroom.

There was no business plan and no warehouse. Just a machine that had already lived one life somewhere else, a spool of thread, and a lot of test runs on scrap fabric to work out how the tension behaved.

Two weeks in, the first order came through. The customer bought three sweatshirts at once — not one to try it out, three. We still think about that order. Somebody who had never heard of us decided, on the strength of a few photos, to trust us with three.

We're not going to pretend we've been doing this for decades. We haven't. What we can tell you is that every piece that has left this studio was stitched, trimmed, and checked by someone who cared whether it turned out right.

Why we stitch instead of print

This is the reason the business exists, so it's worth explaining properly.

Printed graphics sit on top of fabric. Screen print, DTG, heat transfer vinyl — they're all a layer of ink or film bonded to the surface. Every wash cycle works at that bond. After twenty or thirty washes you get the cracking, the peeling, the faded patches. The shirt is still fine. The design is finished.

Embroidery is stitched into the fabric. Real thread, pulled through the material, locked in place. There is nothing to peel away because nothing was ever sitting on top. The design has texture you can feel under your thumb.

It costs more. It takes longer — a detailed design runs for 4–9 minutes on the machine versus seconds for a print. We think the trade is worth it, and the people who order from us twice seem to agree.

What we embroider

Every design in our shop is stitched onto premium blanks chosen for weight and feel, not for price:

If you're wondering whether a particular design can go on a particular item, email us. Usually the answer is yes.

What goes into every piece

Quality thread. Colorfast thread that won't bleed onto the garment or wash pale, with a finish that catches light the way cheap polyester never does.

Proper stabilizer behind every design. This is the unglamorous part nobody markets. Stabilizer backing is what keeps stitching flat instead of puckering the fabric around it. Skipping it is why so much cheap embroidery looks warped after a single wash.

Stitch density tested before production. Every new design gets test-run on scrap before it ever touches a garment somebody paid for. Too dense and the fabric distorts. Too loose and the design looks thin. Getting that right takes trial runs, and we do them.

Embroidered in the USA. Orders arrive in 7–10 days with tracking.

How an order actually works

1. You order. Nothing sits pre-made in a warehouse waiting for a buyer.

2. We stitch it. 2–5 business days on the machine, then trimmed and finished by hand.

3. We check it. Every piece is inspected before it's folded. If the stitching isn't right, it doesn't ship. It goes in the scrap pile and we run it again.

4. It ships from the USA with tracking, arriving in 7–10 days total.

What we believe

Clothing should outlast a trend. We'd rather sell you one sweatshirt you still reach for in five years than five you wear for one season each.

Small details decide everything. Thread quality, stabilizer, stitch density, the weight of the blank. Nobody advertises these. They're exactly what determines whether you still like the piece next winter.

Being new is not an excuse. We started in 2026. That means we have fewer orders behind us than the big names — and it also means nobody here has stopped caring yet. When something goes wrong, we fix it. No arguing, no restocking fee.

Our promise

Every order is covered by our 30-day return policy. If your piece arrives damaged, or the embroidery isn't right, send a photo to support@medoembroidery.com within ships in 3–7 business days — 1–3 days in production, plus 2–4 days in transit and we'll replace it at no cost. You don't need to ship the original back.
